18th July: got up early to see the light on the Salmon gums where we spent the night! A fellow caravanner showed me how to access water for the van with the use of a cable tie on the tap, to give a continuous supply of water without having to keep one’s finger on the tap on button!
We then made our way to Widgiemootha where we played a hole -a longish 3 par with the usual sand and gravel and weeds. We had our cards signed at the Widgiemootha roadhouse. We then travelled via the Woodlands-the largest eucalyptus woodland in the world, where what stood out was our favourite magnificent salmon gums, to reach our destination- Norseman. We played our 2 holes at the golf course- equally challenging annd great for losing T’s(;? and then decided on the Big 4 caravan park because the 48 hour RV site looked quite bleak.
We did a large wash and we had chilli jam portabello mushrooms with vegie sauce supplemented with red wine for dinner.
