13th  May: Travelled from Florence Falls to Edith Falls via Adelaide Creek where we refueled but could not find anywhere to fill up with fresh water.

We had stopped in at the Termite mounds coming out of Litchfield NP. The magnetic Termite mounds are all oriented North south so that they don’t overheat their occupants!

The campsites ant Edith Falls  are very small with overhanging branches and prominent immovable heavy boulders marking the sites. Nic did a great job of backing our caravan into the site(no 8) with the help of an incumbent resident!

By the time we set up camp & had a cup of tea- we set off for a swim at the Upper pool waterhole, as the bottom pool was closed due to presence of salt water crocodiles. We realised once we got there that we were going to run out of daylight, so we sat for a while at the lookout and then retraced our steps home.

I cooked portobello mushrooms with chillie jam and a tomato based sauce for dinner.
