May 9th: a day of administration of life spent waiting for our autoelectrician from Tate Autoelectrics to assess our inverter plus 4 loads of washing in a caravan park with only 2 washing machines!

Locky from Tate arrived at about 1.30pm and thoroughly assessed our inverter- verdict it was stuffed internally. He then spent a period of time on the phone to REDARC who agreed to give us a new inverter for free despite the fact that the old one was out of warranty! Phil the owner of Tate had thoughtfully provided one for Locky to install to cover exactly that eventuality!

Our caravan neighbours in their eighties inspired in us a case of jockey wheel rubber chock envy so we headed to Super cheap auto for a few purchases including the jockey wheel rubber chock!

I then remade our bed and sorted the washing!

We then headed out for a meal at a restaurant recommended by my lovely niece Lil Maher and enjoyed with our great friends Ros and Paul last year- Ella by Minoli Sri Lankan inspired food! Amazingly I was able to squeeze into my new dress without appearing too obscene!

The food was wonderful! Nic had kangaroo tartare followed by wagu beef ribs and I had spiced potatoes followed by roast wild caught barramundi and we shared papadums, basmati rice and a green salad like no other! This feast was accompanied by a couple of glasses of Grenache each!

We fall asleep to the sound of screeching birds! Apparently the bush stone curlew!
