May 8th: Travelled from Katherine to Darwin via Adelaide River where we stopped for diesel and a coffee. It was a good road with a few roadworks delays. We arrived at the Discovery Caravan park in Winnellie, just through the industrial section on the way into town. We settled in and let Tate auto electric know where we are staying for our Inverter service/replacement tomorrow.

We then went to the Mindel Sunset markets, the Gardens-lots of food stalls and arts and craft.  They were huge and filled with people - I decided on a seafood paella followed by a berry smoothie and Nic went for a seafood laksa and some barramundi. We then watched the sun go down over the beach accompanied by a large crowd of peaceful onlookers! I purchased a one size fits all dress made in Bali  at a stall called Colorama, but unfortunately when I got home I found that it didn’t fit me! (Probably due to too may biscuits and cheese and G & T’s! ) I spent the evening attempting to adjust it by letting out seams and adjusting  buttons and strategically placing press studs, probably to no avail. We’ll see!
