May 5th: left Alice Springs for Karlu Karlu ( Devil’s Marbles) 400km further north along the Stuart Highway,  a place of great indigenous significance for 4 different peoples- the Warumungu, the Kaytetye, the Alyawarr and the Warlpiri, and they certainly had a very spiritual presence as we walked around the rounded sandstone boulders by ourselves during the golden hour! This was the site previously mentioned where a boulder was stolen for Flynn’s memorial and was eventually returned.

When we arrived re realised that all camping sites had to be pre booked on line. I hurriedly got onto our Starlink using the caravan inverter to get some wifi in the absence of any phone reception. I booked us a site-( technology in its place!) then unfortunately the Inverter died and we couldn’t fix it.
