April14th: A day in Port Augusta spent administrative issues-we got leads for things we forgot to buy leads for, I bought chains to secure ours spare tyres on caravan and Prado roof and various bits of hardware to make caravan more comfortable, Nic had a hair cut and I managed to obtain National Park passes for NT and WA and get them printed out as required at local library. I installed the chains on the tyres and padlocked them, re-supplied our caravan loo, and cooked 4 Vegie pasta sauces ready for road, but not before what has become our ritual cheese and biscuits and G & T! We head for Arkaroola tomorrow!

April 15th: Google lead us astray and we headed for Arkaroola by a tortuous gravel road via Quorn then Wirral’s, missing out on Parachilna and Leigh Creek. However, the road improved my driving skills somewhat and I hardly knew we were towing a caravan. We didn’t arrive at Arkaroola Village till after 4.30pm. The great news was that although the caravan was dusty on the outside the Venturi system on roof on caravan worked brilliantly and no dust got in to van or any of the side compartments! The pre-prepared Vegie sauce was an easy choice for dinner. We will walk the Acacia Ridge trail tomorrow.
